2024, plaster, chicken wire, clay, spray paint, 3 small toy dinosaurs in head, 84″x166″

This sculpture was an outdoor part of my solo show (https://curate.la/events/30594). There was actually a ‘dinosaur route’ on the ceilings made of tiny dinosaurs that led the visitor outside from the gallery, to see the big one. The ceiling route started in the ‘missing dinosaur’ empty, bordered space the size of the big dinosaur. He was supposed to be there, inside, with the rest of the artworks but walked away to the green hill.

The dinosaur is thinking about the exact same dinosaurs as he is because everything else is too alien. It’s natural to focus on things and creatures who are more familiar and dear because they are so similar to oneself.
